The Philodendron Billietiae has long, angular leaves with striking orange stems - this statement plant is a must have for any Philodendron collector.
A surprisingly low-maintenance plant for starting or expanding your indoor jungle, the Billietiae's leaves are rigid and hold larger amounts of water compared to other lance-leaved Philodendron. Be careful not to overwater this guy keep potted in a chunky aroid mix.
Care:
Light: Tolerant of medium light to bright indirect light, however too much light can cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.
Water: Water when the top 2 thirds of the soil dry out. For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months. In winter allow to dry out further.
Food: Feed fortnightly during the growing season but not during winter unless actively growing.
Humidity: High humidity will produce a happier plant but will tolerate a normal household humidity. A low humidity will cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.
