These plants are part of our 'Home Grown Propagations & Cuttings' collection, please visit this page for more information.

As photographed. Use drop down menu to select plant you would like. Lightly rooted cuttings in moss in a 5.5cm diameter nursery pot.

Some leaves have yellowing which I believe is from being too close to the lights - new growth will come in healthy and dark green if kept in correct light levels.

This large, low maintenance plant will frequently reward you with new growth. It's tall stature and easy going nature make it the ideal plant to fill that empty corner in your home.

The ‘Red Emerald's' leaves become larger as they mature and climb higher. If you continue to extend your Philodendron's moss pole when it reaches the top, it will rapidly grow taller and can even double it's height over the period of a year (this is taken from personal experience and the 5ft monster now in my living room!).

Alternatively, if you don't want to commit to a plant that tall, you can always keep cutting it back and propagate the cuttings to make more plants to share with friends!

Care:

Light:  Tolerant of medium light to bright indirect light, however too much light can cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.

Water: This plant likes to be moist but doesn’t want its roots to be constantly wet. Water when the top ⅓ portion of  soil dries out. For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months.

Food: Feed fortnightly during the growing season but not during winter.

Humidity: High humidity will produce a happier plant but will tolerate a normal household humidity. A low humidity will cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.
