It's hard to miss the neon yellow of the Philodendron 'Lemon Lime', this uncommon trailing plant with heart shaped leaves is sure to turn heads in your home!

Despite their rarity and delicate appearance, they are actually a relatively hardy and low maintenance plant to care for. They aren't too fussed about light or humidity but do prefer to be kept moist.

The Philodendron 'Lemon Lime' is a trailing plant which grows new leaves regularly in the growing season. As with all trailing plants you can leave this plant to hang (Philodendrons can reach impressive lengths very fast!) or you can train them to climb up a stake, trellis or moss pole. Mature plants may produce many green-white flowers.

This is one of the types of Philodendron which have extrafloral nectaries, nectar glands which produce a sticky sap on the leaves and stems of the plant. This nectar is harmless but can leave small round marks on the leaves which can be confused for pest damage.

Care:

Light:  Tolerant of medium light to bright indirect light, however too much light can cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.

Water: Keep the soil moist at all times, water when the top ⅓ portion of  soil dries out. For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months.

Food: Feed monthly during the growing season but not during winter.

Humidity: High humidity will produce a happier plant but will tolerate a normal household humidity. A low humidity will cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.
